PRIDE WEEKEND!!!

I think it’s safe to say that this weekend is the biggest celebration of the year in Hillcrest. The pride parade is back, and pride weekend will be in full swing. I want to just leave a few notes about this weekend.

-All guests at the property must be accompanied by a current resident. Anytime you are at the pool, please be sure that you are with your guest.

-Glass is not allowed on the pool deck. If glass was to break anywhere on the pool deck, the pool will be drained and cleared of glass material. This is a very costly expense and prevents residents from enjoying this amenity.

-The pride parade is Saturday, July 18th from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. The parade comes up on 6th Avenue, right alongside our tennis courts.

-It is recommended that you move your vehicle out of the parking garage if you have plans throughout the day on the night before the parade because even though there is a temporary barricade for cars, it can take a while to get into and out of the garage.

-The San Diego Pride Parade is the largest single day civic event in the region and is among the largest Prides in the United States, attracting over 250,000 supporters of the LGBTQIA+ community.

DOOR MATS NOT PERMITTED IN COMMON AREA HALLWAYS

Did you knowdoormats are not permitted outside unit entry doors or within the common hallways of Coral Tree Plaza?

Per the California Fire Code Section 1032.3 – Obstructions, “A means of egress shall be maintained free from obstructions that would prevent safe emergency use.” Common hallways serve as required emergency exit paths must remain clear at all times.

Door mats and other personal items placed outside unit doors are not allowed because they may:

• Create a trip hazard during normal use and emergency evacuations;
• Interfere with emergency personnel responding to an incident.

If you currently have a door mat outside your unit, please remove it (ASAP) as soon as possible to ensure compliance with fire safety requirements per Fire Code. This rule is also stated in Coral Tree’s Governing Documents Section: Common Area or Common Area Facilities.
