Weekly Update – June 9, 2023

Happy Friday Everyone!

Hello Coral Tree Plaza Community.

A&D FIRE – FIRE HORN INSTALL (WEST BUILDING)

Management is picking up where we left off on the Fire Alarm System Upgrade as we have one more part of the project to complete for the West Building.

This project is to replace the in-unit fire alarm horns in each unit and hallway. A&D Fire will require access to every unit multiple times throughout your scheduled day to ensure the Fire Horns sync with the Fire Panel.

The Fire Horn install is scheduled to begin at 9AM on Tuesday, June 13th – Thursday, June 15th and each day will require access into different Unit stacks.

Tuesday June 13th – A, B, F & G

Wednesday June 14th – C, D, G & H

Thursday June 15th – E, F, H & Hallways

If you will not be home during the installation, please notify Management for permission to use the Emergency Key we have on file. This is a very important installation to be performed for the community and would appreciate it if you could send me a message to let me know if you will be home or if I could use the key on file. Please email me at mcasillas@actionlife.com.

PET OWNERS – PLEASE READ

All Coral Tree dog owners, please make sure that the dog run gate is locked when you leave. Since the gate does not swing close on its own, we need to make sure it closes and locks. This gate should not be left open for our 7th street neighbors to use. Also leaving the gate open may invite an unhoused neighbor onto our property. No gates or doors throughout our Coral Tree property should ever be propped open and left unattended.

CODDINGTON LOCKS – COMMON AREA LOCKS RE-KEY

As you may recall during the SDG&E Power Outage there were multiple doors that either residents did not have a key to or there was no key access to specific doors. Management performed an overall inspection and found there were nine (9) areas identified. A proposal to re-key and add key access to specific doors/gates was presented to the Board and approved to move forward with the scope of work below:

East & West Tower Emergency Stairwell – (Re-Key)

Interior Lobby Doors to Mail Room / Elevators – (Re-Key)

Two (2) Promenade Gates – (Adding Key Access)

Pedestrian Gate on 6th Avenue – (Adding Key Access)

Parking Apron Gate – (Adding Key Access to Master)

Hobby Shop – (Re-Key)

Mechanical Room Gate – (Re-Key to Master)

Coddington Locks will be onsite Monday June 12, 2023 at 9AM to perform this service, please be aware there may be noise emitted during the installation. If you do not have a common area key and would like to purchase one for $35 from Management, please send me an email or come on by the Management Office.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

VICTOR PEREZ – LEAVE OF ABSENCE – FRIDAY JUNE 30th

Building Engineer Victor Lopez and his family are welcoming a lovely baby girl into the world by the end of June. Victor will be taking some personnel time off to spend with his family for approximately 6-8 weeks. If you see Victor, please congratulate him and his family as he will be missed for the short time he is away. During Victor’s leave of absence, ProTec will be having multiple building techs at Coral Tree going over protocols and building operations to ensure we have a trained tech on site that is familiar with the building’s components.

Victors last day before paternity leave is Friday June 30, 2023.
