Coral Tree Plaza Weekly Update
Happy Friday Everyone.
Hello Coral Tree Plaza Community.
Recycling and Refuse:
Understandably it seems like the recycling and trash are always full. That would be because they are pretty much always full lately. While it was previously thought that the trash and recycling pickups were back on their normal schedule I have been informed that they are once again struggling with staffing because of the strike. Behind the scenes, Maria and Victor have been bagging up all of the excess trash and recycling and placing it next to the dumpsters in the trash rooms so that way it is not piling up in the trash chute or down in the parking garage. I have contacted our trash and recycling broker requesting immediate pickup. This will be closely monitored by the onsite staff over the coming weeks. Please know that Maria and Victor are doing all that they can to keep the trash and recycling exposure to a minimum.
Security – Move in and out:
Recently there have been a few moves both in and out where no security guard was present. Please note that this is not the fault of the owners who made arrangements for their moves. The security company that the association has used in the past has not been showing up for the moves. Victor has graciously stepped in to watch over the door and make sure that all those entering the building either have a fob or are guests accompanied by a current resident. Unfortunately, it is difficult to make arrangements for security guard companies right now. They are severely understaffed and those that do have adequate staffing are charging twice the normal rate for a security guard. This issue has been brought to the board and they have begun deliberating the next best steps for the association to ensure that residents can move in and out freely without risking a trespasser to the association. Thank you to all who brought this to our attention.
Pool Chair Arrangement:
It is great to see the pool getting lots of use in the warm weather. It’s a wonderful place to convene and spend time with friends and family in the sun. If you are spending time at the pool and moving any of the chairs or loungers, please move them back to their original position once you are done using them. Not all residents can physically lift and move the chairs and it can create a hazard if they were to try. So returning them to their original location will make their life easier.
Office Hours:
As a friendly reminder, Coral Tree Plaza’s new Senior Manager Mimi Stansberry will be filling in for me next week onsite. Her time onsite begins on Tuesday. She will be around and able to assist with onsite day-to-day operations. Victor and Maria will also be helping out, keeping the place in tip-top shape. Thank you to all who have wished me well on my upcoming wedding. I am grateful to the community for the support.
