Coral Tree Plaza Weekly Update

Happy Friday Everyone.

Hello Coral Tree Plaza Community.

East Promenade Gate Access – Update:

CRB Security arrived onsite yesterday to repair the gate access to the promenade next to the East building. The latch which was no longer functioning was replaced and the card reader to unlock the gate has also been replaced. It is fully functional again. On a related note, if you ever happen to notice that a door, gate, or entrance isn’t functioning properly, please feel free to contact management for repairs. They may not be immediately addressed due to labor or materials, but the sooner that we know about them the sooner we will be able to get started on repairs.

Trash and Recycling:

The recycling and trash situation has been difficult for everyone at the property, including the onsite team. I’ll start by thanking you all for your patience and understanding as we work with our refuse company to have the issue addressed. For some background on what is going on. Waste Management is in a labor dispute with the recycling pickup drivers who are on strike. With about half of the workforce not showing up for their shifts, the trash pickup team is having to work overtime to pick up recycling and also trash. Just last week Waste Management hired a new round of recycling truck drivers, and 20 of them quit before even starting their first route. Coral Tree Plaza is not an isolated incident, several Action properties that work with Waste Management or Global Disposal service (the refuse broker that we use), are in the same situation as us.

Maria and Victor have continued to take recycling up to the dumpster rooms, but those are overflowing with recycling. So please know that the recycling situation is being worked on and here onsite we are doing our best to keep the areas clean and clear on each floor of the parking garage.

Memorial Day:

As a reminder to everyone, the onsite team will be off on Monday in observance of Memorial Day. If for any reason you have an emergency, you can call (800) 400-2284 to speak with an Action Property Management representative. The answering service that covers the after-hours calls at night and on the weekend will take note of whatever situation is going on and if they determine it to be an emergency the call will be forwarded to either me or the Senior Manager CTP’s account. The answering service typically only forwards fires, floods, and health and safety emergencies. So calls regarding the recycling or an issue with cleanliness at the pool will not be immediately forwarded to me, they are documents and sent in a report via email. If you call with non-emergency issues, please do not expect to speak directly with management.
