Coming Rains:

San Diego can expect a little bit of rain next week starting on Monday and Tuesday. In case there is any inclement wind with that rain, consider moving any light furniture or potted plants inside of your unit. One of the reasons that the association rules state that only patio furniture is permitted on balconies is because porous material can and often does get soaked with rain, the additional water and weight are not good for the balconies. Consider taking extra precautions whenever the rains do come to Hillcrest next week.

Gate Clickers:

Thank you to all who stopped by this week, sent me an email, or left a note with your gate clicker information. If you are still unable to use your gate clicker, please reach out to me and let me know. If the clicker is unable to function and open the gate even after being reprogrammed, there are replacement clickers available for homeowners who come in and trade in the old ones. Some residents have reported that their clickers are not opening up the garage gate when they are driving up from P2 to P1 like they used to. As a reminder, the association asks that you please only open the garage gate when you are in view of the gate itself. Homeowners opening the garage gate before they even make it up to the first level are opening the garage gate without anyone around to check and see if someone is trying to sneak in. So please either wait until you are at the garage gate to use your clicker, or drive up to the yellow line to trip the interior sensor and open the garage gate.
