Coral Tree Plaza Weekly Update
Happy Friday Coral Tree Plaza
Whew! I hope you all didn’t miss me last week while I was out of town. Because I sure missed all of you. But to make up for the lack of a Friday update last week, I will be sure to add all of the juicy details to this week’s update.
Four-Legged Friends:
I am not sure if I am the only person who has noticed this, but there are a few new faces around campus lately. Both human and animal alike. I do try to make it a habit of getting to know all the new residents, but I CERTAINLY make it a habit of petting any and all dogs I meet. One way that I can pet a good doggo is when the owner keeps them on a leash whenever they are on Coral Tree Plaza property. So not only are you doing me a favor by letting me pet your dog, but you are also actually following the rules of Coral Tree Plaza which state that all dogs must be kept on a leash except for the dog run and inside a unit. So if you won’t do it for me and my love of dogs, please do it because it’s the rule.
Inner Lobby Doors:
I know I said a long time ago that we were replacing the inner lobby doors. And it was true when I said it back then. But it’s, even more, truer now. Southwest Entrances has come out a few times to get the correct measurements for the doors. It’s a time-consuming process, but because the doors are being replaced with a different style that includes more aluminum and slightly less glass, it’s important to get all of the measurements just right. I spoke with Southwest Entrances today and they are going to be sending me a schedule shortly with the date of installation. Thank you to all who have been patient when using those darn doors that stick.
Call for Candidates:
You know sometimes I think that it would be pretty cool to live at Coral Tree Plaza. But then I remember that I am afraid of heights and so I would only really live in like, 6 possible units here. But if YOU think it’s cool to live here, perhaps consider running for the Board of Directors. The Call for Candidates went out on Monday this week. If you are interested in the association’s finances, making decisions for your neighbors and the community as a whole, and enjoy working with others, please consider submitting a candidate form. If you have questions about the process or what it’s like to be on the Board, please feel free to reach out to me. And either I can answer your questions directly or I can put you in touch with an existing Board member. Please remember that there are three seats up for election, incumbents Robin Landeck and Richard Spero plan on running again.
Office Closed Monday:
The onsite office is closed on Monday. I know what you’re thinking – Tyler you just took two days off. You would be right. I did do that. But I did not create the federal calendar nor the holidays that go into it. So the onsite office will be closed on Monday, Maria and Victor will also be gone. No remodels or contractors are allowed onsite on Monday. Please do your best to keep the building in one piece until we get back on Tuesday.
Tennis Court Lights:
The tennis court lights have been giving me heartburn for some time now. I fear for the residents playing in the dark of night. How do you know where to swing? When do swing? Do you use night vision goggles? Well, fear no more, Sommer Electric diagnosed the issue and they have ordered parts to make the replacement. I apologize for the delay and any purchases of night vision goggles.
Clubhouse Library:
The Clubhouse library has been restocked and is now open for CTP community borrowing. Contributions to the library can be placed in the basket atop the library shelves. New quality fiction and non-fiction titles are needed. And, please return to our library any borrowings made during the last 18 months. We have limited space, so all donated books not placed on our shelves will be re-donated to a local Friends of the San Diego Library location.

Be Well.
