Coral Tree Plaza Weekly Update

Happy Friday Coral Tree Plaza

Promenade Furniture:

Many of you have submitted requests to me and members of the Board to add furniture back to the promenade like it was during the height of the pandemic. Now that the pool furniture is back at the pool for pool use, it does certainly look different upon the promenade. The Board has been reviewing different options for the promenade, at this point, they have decided to hold off on any promenade furniture purchases because of upcoming work that needs to be done on the promenade like the resurfacing and waterproofing. In the interim, you are more than welcome to bring down any beach chairs, folding chairs, camping chairs, and the like. Please remember to bring them back up to your unit with you. Lighter chairs can very easily fly right off the promenade during a strong wind gust and end up in the canyon which would make a poor storage place for a beach chair if you ask me.

Pet of the Month:

As a special surprise for the community, the newest pet of the month has come early! Today we are celebrating Pussycat. He lives in the West building on the 9th floor. He loves visiting his neighbor cats and neighbor humans. He has been known to even watch soccer games with his human neighbors from time to time. If you ever see him, he can be shy at times, but don’t let that fool you. Pussycat is a bucket of love just waiting for treats and pets. Photos of our feline friend will be found posted on the bulletin board in each lobby.

Town Hall June 9th:

The Board of Directors will be holding a town hall on June 9th from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm. The town hall is going to be virtually held. It is an opportunity for owners to come and learn about the proposed CC&R amendments. These amendments affect the rental restrictions at the association and the pet restrictions written into the CC&R’s. All of the membership need to vote on the CC&R amendments that are being proposed. The new civil code requires associations to make this change for rental restrictions, but the Board cannot do this without your help. So to better educate the community about this ballot measure, the Board has decided to hold a town hall that will be open for owners.

Emergency Rule Approval:

To maintain peaceful coexistence in a high rise, the Board of Directors approved an emergency rule last night. This rule changes the construction hours at the property. As of now, the new hours for construction and any type of unit upgrades are the following.

Monday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

Tuesday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

Wednesday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

Thursday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

Friday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

Saturday: 9:00 am – 3:30 pm

No work on Sundays.

Contractors must be off of the property by 5:00 pm. This means that they should begin their cleanup process at 4:30 pm. Please do not permit your contractors to stop working at 5:00 pm and then begin cleaning up. They must be off Coral Tree Plaza property at 5:00 pm. The Board understands that with everyone being home it has been quite difficult for many people to get their regular work done at home instead of in the office. They hope that by changing these rules, owners can expect a reasonable amount of quiet hours during the week and weekend.

Onsite Office Closed:

The Coral Tree Plaza onsite office is closed today, Friday, May 28th, and Monday, May 31st for the holiday weekend. Please call the Action number during normal work hours and after hours for emergency needs, you may have. That number is (800) 400-2284. I will be back in the office on Tuesday and can assist with anything you should need then.
