Coral Tree Plaza Weekly Update

Happy Friday Coral Tree Plaza

Coral Tree Plaza Pet of the Month!:

The moment is finally here. I know that everyone has been waiting with bated breath to see just who exactly is the Cat of the Coral Tree Castle, the Fido of this Fortress. And I am happy to announce that the pet of the month is Oliver! Oliver is an East building cat who lives on the 7th floor.

Oliver is an 11-year-old Oriental Shorthair/Bombay mix. He was in the shelter for almost a year before being adopted in 2011. He is intelligent, playful, and very vocal, especially at 5 AM!

Likes: playing with his toy mice, sleeping on a sunny window sill, and Friskies cat treats.

Dislikes: car rides, vet visits, and loud noises.

East Building Callbox:

A few months ago the motherboard in the West building callbox broke down. CRB Security had to send the damaged motherboard to the manufacturer to get a new one. Unfortunately, we are now in the same position with the East building call box. The large power surge that hit the Hillcrest grid last week irreparably damaged the motherboard in the callbox to the East building. CRB has once again come out and removed the motherboard. It is on its way to the manufacturer to be replaced. Until then, please advise any visitors that they will need to call you directly to get into the building.

Amazon Key For Business:

This week Amazon Key for Business came out to work on the call boxes for both buildings. They were able to install the new access system in the West callbox, but not the East callbox because of the damaged motherboard. This new access system integrates with our already existing callbox and fob system. Verified Amazon delivery drivers will open their delivery app on their smartphone when they arrive on-site, they will verify that they are delivering a package to the West building, and then they can unlock the front and inner lobby door without needing to call the office or any residents. The hope in doing this is to reduce the number of calls that owners are getting from delivery drivers, and also to ensure that packages are getting placed inside the building safely. Once we have repaired the East building callbox, we will set up this same program.

West Inner Lobby Door:

Now I know that everyone here loves a good squeaky door as much as the next person. But I have to tell you all that soon enough the inner lobby door in the West building is going to be fixed. The existing door frame is bowing ever so slightly from the weight of the inner lobby door that is made of glass. Every so often Vortex doors needs to come out and tighten the closer to pull the door off of the ground so that it latches properly and doesn’t make the wretched squeaking noise. This week Vortex came out to tighten the closer. But after so many tightenings, the closer has decided it’s pooped out. Vortex has ordered a new closer and will be installing it as soon as it comes in.

Get Yo Swim On:

I mentioned last week that the pool would be closed this week for algae treatment. Well, the pool has been treated. Pool Beautiful is coming out again today to test the levels of the pool and make sure that the pH balance is safe for swimming. Once they test the levels and confirm the safety, they will begin reheating the pool back up to 85.5 degrees. The pool will be ready for a dip later this evening/tomorrow morning. Enjoy the weekend at the pool!
