Coral Tree Plaza Weekly Update

Happy Friday Coral Tree Plaza

Garage Door Replacement:

After a few weeks of waiting for the reordered door, it has finally arrived. Unfortunately, this does mean that the association will need to go through the same ordeal that occurred a few weeks ago. We will have to temporarily halt the flow of traffic periodically throughout the day to install the roll-down door that goes from the first floor of the parking garage to the second. I will need to reiterate that this job completion is necessary to finish the 2020 fire safety inspection with the City of San Diego Fire Department. The fire marshal completing the inspection with us has been very gracious and allowed us to reorder the door for this installation. I understand that this was a difficult procedure last time and ask once again for the patience and understanding of the community. The work will begin on Thursday, April 29th beginning at 9:00 am. We are all very hopeful that this is the very last time that the garage door replacement will take place. I am cautiously optimistic.

Window Washing:

I know many of you would love to see the bay or even just see the outside from within your unit! It has been quite a struggle for so many of us over the past year or so. Covid has changed many parts of all our lives. But one thing that remains unchanged is that windows get dirty over time. I’m pretty sure no pandemic will change that fact. What is changing is the number of vaccinations and the reopening of California. The Board is working closely with legal counsel to ensure that the association is safe and it is alright to allow window washers/carpet cleaners back onto the campus. Hopefully, there will be some news and movement on this soon. When we know more information about this I will be sure to update the community. For the time being, we are thinking that if all goes well the windows will be washed within the next few months.

Say What?:

A few unlucky guests coming to the East building this week were unable to dial or connect with their desired party. I reset the callbox to the East building and tested it a few times. It should be back up and running again for all guests and visitors. So thank you to those who sent me a kind notice about the callbox and I apologize for the inconvenience. As a friendly reminder, please only buzz in those who you are expecting!

So You Wanna Buy a Fob:

Those little tiny black discs may at times be cumbersome on your keychain, but in reality, they are essentially an all-access pass to the amenities and fun times to be had here at Coral Tree Plaza. So if you ever accidentally drop one off a bridge or find it missing, please be sure to let me know so that I can turn off the fob. That way someone else doesn’t come out and enjoy the pool when they don’t pay for the amenity. The last thing we want is anyone else rocking cool little black discs on their keychains, that’s our thing.

Rental Restrictions:

As many of you are aware, we are making changes to the governing documents of the association because of a recently enacted bill that changed the civil code. This bill known as AB 3182 changes the types of rental restrictions that HOA’s can have. Below you will find a link to an article that is informative about the approved legislation that was signed by Governor Newsome last fall. The Board will be meeting with the membership in a town hall meeting and also mailing out more information for the association. But if you are interested in learning about this ahead of time please feel free to read the below article and also ask any questions you may have, I would be more than happy to answer.
