Coral Tree Plaza Weekly Update

Happy Friday Everyone!

Skateboarding and Biking in Common Areas:

During the holidays last weekend, there were a few instances where someone was skateboarding on the promenade and also on the tennis court. Then this week I discovered a guest of a homeowner biking on the promenade. I wanted to take a moment to ask everyone and all guests to please refrain from biking or skateboarding on the promenade or the tennis court. Both of those areas are for pedestrian walking use only and not for bikes and the likes. As more and more guests will be coming to spend time with everyone during the holidays it’s just a good reminder that when you have a guest here at the association, you are responsible for them. If they are at the pool, gym, tennis courts, guest suites, etc. they are required to adhere to all of the association rules. So keep track of your friends and definitely keep track of your family, you never know when that one cousin or uncle is going to unicycle on the promenade.

Tennis Court Use:

I have truly enjoyed seeing so much use of the tennis court. There was a time when I’m sure only two residents in total ever used the court. It was a sad and lonely time. Well, that is no more. The tennis court is poppin’ nowadays. So to accommodate everyone interested in the court, pickleball and tennis folks alike use the following time blocks.

Singles – 1.5 hours

Doubles – 2 hours

Don’t sign up for back-to-back blocks, this only prohibits your neighbors from getting a chance to play. So be mindful and respectful.

Dog Care:

Much like the owners in the buildings, the pet diversity at CTP is excellent. The range of dog size is quite astounding to me. So for every pet owner, it’s key to keep your dog on a shorter leash when in the common area like the lobbies, hallways, and elevators. If you have a retractable leash to let your furry friend fly free, that’s totally fine. Except when you are in the common area. Your retractable leash needs to be locked in the short leash position. This is not just a reminder for the large dog owners, but also the small dog owners. Dogs interacting with each other can be all good and fun until it’s not and one will provoke the other. So to avoid the situation entirely, keep your dog on a tight leash, preferably not retractable.

Pet of the Month:

I realize that I have fallen short of my duty to the community to produce a pet of the month. I will be the first to admit that this has slipped off the table. But I have picked it back up, dusted it off, and I am so excited to announce that the Coral Tree Plaza Pet of the Month is….

Sonny Boy Biscuits, our East building superfly little guy.

Likes: Cuddling, making biscuits, being chatty, wrestling his sister Sharkie (a 6-year-old calico), and stealing food.

Dislikes: Being alone and loud noises.

Take a look at the attached photos. If you just can’t get enough of Sonny Boy Biscuits, I’ll post his photos on the bulletin board as well for your viewing pleasure.

Advice from a Pickle:

Life can be hard sometimes. Dill with it.

Relish every moment you share with those you love.

The door to happiness is always ajar.

-f you want life to be sweet, you have to know what sour tastes like, too.

Remember, life is never a dill moment.

Don’t worry- in the end, everything will be just brine

Be Well.
