Coral Tree Plaza Weekly Update
Happy Friday Everyone!
Pool Update:
After meeting with multiple vendors this week and inspecting the pool water heater it was determined by multiple technicians that the water heater for the pool is no longer viable and will not operate. The Board reviewed different proposals to either attempt to repair or to replace the water heater. The Board has approved the installation of new water heaters for both the pool and for the spa, as well as an energy-saving pump for the pool. The pump will cut down the energy use that it takes to heat the pool by approximately 50%. Pool Beautiful will be out to begin the work next week. When they finish the installation of the heaters it will take a couple of days to bring the pool back up to the set temperature of 85.5. Please note that the pool temperature is not to be changed. The Board previously voted to keep the pool temperature at 85.5 and that is where it will stay at. This temperature accommodates the vast majority of the residents at the association, including those who enjoy leisurely swimming and those who wish to just hang out in the pool.
SDGE Work Onsite:
As I stated last week, there was every possibility that the work with SDGE could last longer than a week. Well here we are and the project is not yet complete, in fact, there is probably another few days into next week that the construction crew will be working onsite. The delay was due to poor drawings given to the construction crew and the fact that the gas line was about 5 feet away from where the drawings said it would be. The crew has been working well with Victor and me. They have done their best to communicate to us anytime that there is a change in the schedule or a safety concern. I would like to say that it is in the association’s best interest to have the crew work in a safe and steady manner rather than trying to complete the project as quickly as possible and perhaps even risking the safety of the crew or the residents. I understand that it is not a pleasant experience with all of the construction noise down in the roundabout. Thank you all for your continued patience.
Onsite Office Closed:
The onsite office will be closed next week on Thursday, November 18th. Victor and Maria will be available onsite and working. I will not be available. If you should need immediate assistance, you can contact the Action main office line at 800-400-2284.
