Happy Friday Coral Tree Plaza
Neighborhood Reminder: Pool Parties
Over the past year, several new residents have moved into the association and it has been wonderful to see so many new faces here at the property. I do try and send out a reminder about once a year regarding the pool. The location of our pool here is unique. It is a suspended pool that more or less hangs over the canyon. The thing about the pool which not everyone immediately realizes is that sound down at the pool tends to travel directly up to the West building. The location of the pool in relation to the West building and the promenade in between seemingly amplifies sound, causing it to travel directly up to the West building. So for residents who are at the pool, please remember that sound travels easily up to residents who are in the West Building, and specifically to those with South facing units. If you are choosing to go to the pool at night, please be especially aware that residents will be sleeping so keep the volume to a minimum.
Open Session Board Meeting:
On Wednesday, February 24th the Board of Directors will meet in an open session to discuss association matters. For the time being, the association will continue to meet virtually until it is once again safe for people to congregate in person. Although we all miss the social gatherings and hangouts, it is in the best interest of the community to meet virtually via Zoom. Below please find the meeting details.

East Building Kitchen Stack Jetting:
As I emailed last week, the Board has approved to jet the East building kitchen stacks for preventative maintenance. This is to ensure that the investment each homeowner made during the plumbing project is protected and maintained. So starting on February 22nd and going through February 26th, Pro-Tec Plumbing will be onsite and clearing out the plumbing lines. They will be working on one stack per day with an extra day for any follow-ups.
As a note for all residents: you can do your part by refraining from pouring down any grease, coffee grinds, or food particles (such as bread and pasta). From time to time also consider cleaning your pipes by using baking soda and vinegar- this is an all0natural and safe cleaner that will clean out the lines without damaging them. We can all do our part to protect the investment Coral Tree made during the plumbing project. The Board will continue to approve preventative maintenance, and you can help by keeping your lines clean!
Don’t Skimp on the Parking Garage:
This is just a friendly reminder that the underground guest parking is available to all guests at the association. I would encourage all owners and residents to have their guests park in the below-ground guest parking. It is not only a covered space, but it frees up the above-ground parking for contractors and large vehicles that do not necessarily fit in the parking garage down below, or for caretakers who need the spaces because owners cannot come down to greet them in the garage. Owners may not park at the above-ground parking lot.
“One day our descendants will think it incredible that we paid so much attention to things like the amount of melanin in our skin or the shape of our eyes or our gender instead of the unique identities of each of us as complex human beings.”
-Franklin Thomas
Stay safe.
