Coral Tree Plaza Weekly Update

Happy Friday Coral Tree Plaza

Neighborhood Reminder: Mail Room Donations

After my most recent email update regarding the mailroom donations, I received some feedback from various owners about the small space in each mail room where residents can at times leave items that they no longer wish to have. In speaking with the Board there were a few thoughts, that while it is great to allow owners to share with each other, the mailroom is alright a tight space with the number of packages coming in each day. So moving forward, please do not leave items out in the mailroom on the table unless they are exceptionally small. Any item left out that is not taken after 24 hours must be removed. No perishable items can be left out. Finally, any items that are larger than what fits in your pocket should not be placed out. If you would like to offer something up, please take a photograph of it and then place the photo on the bulletin board with your contact information for other owners to reach out to you. In the future when it is once again safe to congregate, the Board will be looking into having a designated day of the week and a spot for owners to swap items. However, for the time being, please refer to the aforementioned guidelines.

Canyon Abatement:

Coral Tree Plaza has the incredible opportunity to look out over the canyon off of 6th avenue. It is a fantastic view and the eucalyptus provides ample shade year-round. The association does now need to take care of the land that is deeded to the association. So in the coming weeks, Pacific Green Landscaping is going to come out and perform canyon abatement. Please note that this does not mean they will be cleaning out the entire canyon. They will be leveling out the land that stretches 10 feet away from the building. This area will be cleaned of debris, fallen tree limbs, trash, etc. There are two main purposes for this, the first is because it reduces the association’s risk in the event of a canyon fire. Without kindling that comes directly up to the building, there is a lower chance of a fire reaching the association. The second is to ensure that the canyon is clean and appealing. I will continue to reach out to the City of San Diego to have the areas of the canyon cleaned out that are City property and not CTP property.

Vaccination Information:

For anyone who is interested in gathering information about where to get your COVID-19 vaccine, I have placed the information below. As another reminder, even though the vaccine is starting to become widely available, we are NOT opening back up and will continue to require face masks and social distancing onsite. If and when the restrictions related to COVID-19 begin to ease up, I will send out another email to the association.

It is best to call your primary physician about whether and when you can or should get a vaccination.

News for registering for COVID VACCINATIONS 75+ now and next week 65+.

“Imperfect though we may be, I believe we are a great country. And part of what makes us great are our democratic institutions that protect our fundamental ideals – freedom of religion and the rule of law, protection from discrimination based on national origin, freedom of the press, and a 200-year history as a nation built by immigrants.”

-Vice President Kamala Harris

Stay safe.
