Coral Tree Plaza Weekly Update

Happy Friday Coral Tree Plaza

Friendly Neighbor Reminder: Wear Your Mask

Throughout the week I have seen many residents wearing their masks. Many of you have made your own and they look fantastic. But they do not look fantastic sitting on your entry table when you are out and about. As a friendly reminder, please wear your mask whenever leaving your unit. Masks are recommended by the CDC along with proper social distancing. We must all do our part and wear our masks. Should you lose your mask or need an additional one, please see the below link to making a mask out of everyday items at home:

Food Deliveries:

Recently Justin and I have had to direct traffic out of the parking garage for food delivery services. If you are ordering grocery deliveries or food delivery services, please direct the delivery people to the above-ground parking lot. When food delivery vehicles attempt to enter the garage they can cause traffic because they do not have garage gate clickers or fobs. To keep everyone safe, please make note of this during your delivery request.

Need Some Stamps?:

Nancy Grano who delivers mail to the association has kindly offered to deliver stamps to owners who do not feel comfortable leaving the property. I have posted samples of the forms in the bulletin board case of each lobby. If you would like to order stamps, please take one of the blank documents on the mailroom table, fill it out, and return it to Nancy. She will bring the stamps to the property for you.

Social Distancing:

On Thursday this week, I received a few different reports about homeowners and tenants who have not been following social distancing guidelines at the pool. Please remember that the CDC has recommended we all stay 6 feet apart from one another. So when walking in the promenade, swimming in the pool, tanning beside the hot tub, stay no less than 6 feet from everyone else. Unless you are out with someone who lives in the same unit as you, do not seat yourself next to your neighbor. This is not just for their safety, but for your own as well.

Clubhouse Bathroom Update:

As many of you may recall, earlier this year the clubhouse bathrooms flood from the men’s bathroom urinal overflowing. The walls were wet and Certified Restoration advised us that we open up the drywall to prevent mold from growing. After the clubhouse was properly abated and dried out, the Board of Directors approved to replace the drywall and install new flooring. Christian Martinez Construction came out last week and this week to work on the clubhouse bathroom. They waterproofed the exposed walls and floor to limit water damage should the bathroom flood again in the future, installed new flooring and drywall. Next week Justin and Berna from Pro-Tec Building Services will be painting the new drywall and installing the bathroom partitions.

Maintenance Update:

This week Justin and Victor serviced the fans on the roof of both buildings, painted the stairs down to the chiller room with a rust preventing paint, painted the janitorial closet, painted several standpipes in the West building, and replenished the hand sanitizers in the lobbies. Justin has been checking the packages in the West and East lobbies every day and moving any packages delivered to the wrong building.

I have recently re-watched a film I highly recommend for any downtime you have this weekend. Should you find the time this weekend, consider renting Clouds of Sils Maria. Below is a film review from the New Yorker on the piece. For me, the film was a nice break from the constant news cycle surrounding the pandemic
