Coral Tree Plaza Weekly Update

Happy Friday Coral Tree Plaza

Hello Coral Tree Plaza Residents!

Neighborhood Reminder: Recycle Please

Earlier this week, Maria started finding a few residents leaving recycling in the trash chute room on the floors. I wanted to take a second and request that owners and residents please remember to take your recycling down to the parking garage. As we have some new residents to the building it’s good to remind all of the neighbors that recycling must be taken down to the parking garage. Please recycling your goods in the bins on your respective parking garage floor. Maria and Victor will take out the recycling bins first thing in the morning, however, the trash chute rooms are not inspected every day and so any recycling left there will not be picked up.

West Building Entrance Stain:

Some of you may have noticed that there has been a water stain next to the call box in front of the West building for some time now. The planter previously out front had a hole in the bottom, so over time the water dripping through started to stain the concrete. We removed the planter last week and worked on removing the stain this week with the power washer. Unfortunately, the stain did not come out with just the power washer. So next week Victor is going to use a scrub brush and a solution to try and take up the stain. Once this is complete we will move a planter back over to the space next to the callbox. Except for this time, it will not have a hole in the bottom of it.

Pool Discoloration:

The pool is such a wonderful part of the property. Many residents take advantage of the area every day. Lately, the pool itself has been looking a little bit worse for wear. The discoloration in the pool is a result of the fiberglass bottom of the pool starting to pull away. I have been working closely with our pool vendor to ensure that no algae builds up or that the pool is unsafe. The pool and spa are both due to be resurfaced either by the end of this year or the very beginning of next year. The Board has already started the process of reviewing bids for this project. In the meantime, Pool Beautiful is going to take extra care when they are onsite to ensure that the pool is being treated well and that the filters are working properly.

Smoking On Campus:

This week, many states in our union voted to legalize marijuana, and I no doubt the condo associations in those states will want to implement the same type of rules we have here at Coral Tree Plaza. So as a friendly reminder, smoking is NOT permitted on balconies. Owners who wish to smoke may do so in their unit with the doors and windows shut, or they may do so out in the area on the promenade between the clubhouse and 6th avenue. While you or your guest may prefer to smoke out on the balcony, it immediately ruins the experience for any neighbors who are out on their balcony in the vicinity. Please be mindful and follow the rules.

Mail Room Doors:

Last week Nancy, our incredible mail person notified me that the mailroom doors had been vandalized. It appears that someone was trying to break off part of the door to get inside. Thankfully the solid wood doors did not make for easy breaking, and the attempt was unsuccessful. The doors now require replacing. On Thursday next week, Luis and Victor are going to remove the doors that are currently up, and replace them with solid wood doors.

If you ever see anyone attempting to get into the mailroom that is not in USPS gear, please contact management. The only individuals with keys to get into the mailrooms are the United States Postal Services officials. The association does not have access to that room.
