Coral Tree Plaza Weekly Update

Happy Friday Coral Tree Plaza

Hello Coral Tree Plaza Residents!

Neighborhood Reminder: Elevator Pads

We have received our first order of brand new elevator pads from Palmer Pads. They are the West building cutout pads and Victor has taken the time to put them up for a few different deliveries over the past two weeks. Although the pads do get put up quite frequently, we do not want to keep them up year-round, residents should see the interior of the elevator from time to time. To protect the interior of the elevator, Victor and I both need to know when to pad the elevator. Recently there have been a few different deliveries, or vendors coming out to the building and not requesting that the pads be put up. Please remember that each resident is responsible for their vendors, so if you know that they are going to be bringing any large items in on a given day, please contact me and tell me when the elevator needs to be padded. At least one day in advance notice is extremely helpful for us.

Pool Closed:

This week on Tuesday, Pool Beautiful came out to the property to give the pool a very very strong cleaning agent to pull out some of the discolorations from the pool and to keep it clean for the next few months while we work to get the pool resurfaced. For the pool cleaning agent to work well, the temperature of the water had to be lowered, so presently the pool is closed and rather cold. The chemicals in the pool must wear off and we must also balance out the pool chlorine levels before it can be used again. Pool Beautiful has estimated that we can reopen the pool on Monday at the earliest, but it will depend on how much more of the cleaning chemicals remain in the pool. I will notify the community when the pool is open and safe to use.

Fire Safety Repairs:

This past week I met with our fire safety company Symons to review a few different repairs that have been assigned to us by the fire marshal. The association needs to replace the garage roll down fire door between the first and second floor of the parking garage, the trash chute fire doors need to also be repaired and replaced, and the sprinkler system has to be re-routed to a new drain in one section of the garage. With all of these repairs, I will send out notices to the community about any possible delays or shutdowns of trash chutes/garage sections. So please keep an eye out for emails as these repairs get scheduled over the next two weeks.

Budget Meeting November 16:

Although we were scheduled to have the open session budget meeting last night, there were a few last-minute details that needed to be ironed out before heading into the final approval of the budget. So the meeting last night has been postponed until Monday, November 16th at 5:30 pm. Owners, please check the previous email that was sent out to see the login information for the Zoom meeting. If anyone should have questions about the meeting ahead of time, please feel free to reach out to me. I would be more than happy to answer any questions.

Purple Tier:

Starting at midnight on November 14th, San Diego is going to move back into the most restrictive tier in the county due to the spike in Covid-19 cases. This means that restaurants can no longer serve indoors, retail, gyms, and more have significantly reduced capacity and many have to be moved outdoors. So please remember that with this spike in covid cases, it’s exceptionally important to wear a mask when you are ANYWHERE on campus. Including elevators, hallways, lobbies, promenade, etc. Please use the hand sanitizing stations set up throughout the property, please contact me if one of them is running low or it out. Please remind all guests and vendors onsite to wear masks. These are non-negotiable, masks must be worn onsite. The actions that we take here onsite directly correlate to the health and safety of our neighbors at the building and in Hillcrest. So please be safe.
