Coral Tree Plaza Weekly Update
Happy Friday Coral Tree Plaza
Hello Coral Tree Plaza Residents!
Neighborhood Reminder: Mind the Doors
As a friendly reminder to the community, please remember to shut doors after walking through them to keep non-residents from accessing the building and/or the community. This applies to the lobby doors, garage gates, dog run, fire exits, and more. As many of you are aware some folks in the transient community tend to hang out around Hillcrest. While more often than not they are no threat to the community, the association is a private property with a closed campus. So non-residents and visitors must be accompanied by a resident. Please watch the gate close after you and do not leave any doors ajar.
Master Keys:
Coral Tree Plaza keeps a copy of the keys to each unit. The keys are left in two lockboxes with a security camera positioned on them at all times. We keep these keys onsite if there is an emergency and the association needs to access a unit. If you have recently moved in or if you have re-keyed your unit. Please drop off a copy of the new key so that I may update our lockbox with your new key. For any owners who are unsure if I have a copy of your key, please feel free to shoot me an email and I will write back confirming whether or not I have a copy of your key.
Generator Monthly Testing:
Next week on October 30th, Victor will be running the generator for 30 minutes for the monthly generator test. We run this every month to be in compliance with the Air Pollution Control District and to also ensure that the backup generator is working without any issues. The generator has an exhaust vent that leads from the Hobby Shop directly out into the canyon. Often when the generator is running for its test, the exhaust from the test pouring out into the canyon can look almost as if it’s smoke and there is a fire. Please do not be alarmed next week on Friday. This is merely a test of the generator.
West Building Callbox:
The West Building callbox has been repaired and is back open for use. Thank
Annual Meeting Results:
Thank you to all who attended that Coral Tree Plaza Annual Meeting. Although this year it was not in person and we did not have refreshments to provide to the homeowners, it still was a pleasure to see so many faces on Zoom and to connect with residents. For those who were not in attendance, I am happy to announce that Susan Jackson and Drue Smethers will be returning to the Board of Directors for another two years. The Organizational meeting was also held immediately following the annual meeting. The results are as follows:
President: Drue Smethers
Vice President: Susan Jackson
Secretary: Dan Goodwin
Treasurer: Richard Spero
Member at Large: Robin Landeck.
Again thank you to everyone who took the time out of their evening to attend the meeting. And another big thank you to everyone who turned in their ballot and helped the association achieve quorum.
This week I leave you with a piece of slam poetry from the 2014 Brave New Voices Finals.
Stay safe.
