Coral Tree Plaza Weekly Update

Happy Friday Coral Tree Plaza

Hello Coral Tree Plaza Residents!

Neighborhood Reminder: Annual Meeting Votes Needed

As a friendly reminder, the annual meeting of the board of directors is on October 21st. There are two positions open on the board and two candidates running. Please remember that the association still must meet the quorum requirement to be able to hold the annual meeting on the 21st. The quorum count number for the annual meeting is 63 ballots. Presently we only have 17 ballots turned in. Please feel free to drop off your ballot at my office through the mail slot if I am not around when you stop by. If not enough ballots are received, the association must schedule another annual meeting date with a lower quorum count. If you have misplaced your Coral Tree Plaza ballot, send me an email and I will send you another ballot in the mail.

Monthly Dues:

Over the past few months, a few different residents have had late fees applied to their accounts because their checks arrived late in the mail. At Action accounting, if the check is not received by the 15th of each month, it is automatically counted as late. Due to some of the delays in the USPS, checks are arriving later than normal. Some banks will send out checks on the 14th, but they must be received by the 15th to not be counted as late. It is recommended that each homeowner send their checks in the mail earlier than they previously were, to ensure that the funds arrive before the 15th of each month.

Contractor Sign-In:

Please remind any contractors that are working in your unit to sign-0in on the sign-in sheet in the clubhouse every morning before they begin work. Lately, contractors have not been signing in, as a reminder, all work in units from outside third parties requires that contractors sign in and check in with the onsite office every day. Contractors must state what company they are working for/with and what unit they are working in. This helps Justin and I keep track of work going on throughout the building and also to assist with any elevator padding, large deliveries, or water shutoffs that may be needed for work being done.

2020 Election Polling Station:

In the past, Coral Tree Plaza has served as a polling station for elections. Homeowners and those in the community have been able to come and vote onsite in the clubhouse. Due to COVID-19, the Office of the Registrar for San Diego County has informed Coral Tree Plaza that they will NOT be using the clubhouse as a location to vote this year in the 2020 election. Below are two links for those interested in finding the nearest in-person voting location, or to sign up for a mail-in ballot.
