COVID-19 Update
Posted By on March 26, 2020
Dear Coral Tree Plaza Resident(s),
As we enter into this new week of uncharted territory, steps must be taken to ensure the safety of the community and the health of all our residents. In light of the requests made by Governor Gavin Newsom this weekend, standing social clubs/gatherings in common areas are suspended until further notice. Here are the changes being implemented at CTP. Please note that Action and the Board are working in tandem to create as safe of an environment as possible at Coral Tree.
1. As you know, the clubhouse is currently closed for group gatherings and office visits. Yoga and bridge clubs are postponed until further notice. All standing clubhouse reservations that were previously reserved by owners canceled. If you should need to reach me at the management office, please contact me via phone or email. Both of these are provided below in the signature of this email.
2. The pool will remain open for now. The Harvard Medical Bulletin has stated that with proper chemical treatment, pools are safe for use. Standard social distancing is still advised and recommended (a minimum of 6ft.). Please be aware that we have a small pool here, so if you see two residents in the pool, please do not enter, likewise if you are in the pool with others waiting, be aware of your time in the pool.
3. The gym has been shut down as well. Please do not use these facilities at all. We will not be cleaning them regularly, instead, Maria and PMS are revising their scope of cleaning.
4. Maria is going to be cleaning elevator buttons, push bars, door handles, doorknobs, gate handles, etc. Maria will not be cleaning her standard route. So the tennis courts, garage ramp, and more will be cleaned less frequently. This is a direct change that I have given to PMS to implement at CTP for the time being.
5. I am working with Staples to get a new supply of hand sanitizing stations that we will install in the mailroom lobbies. As many have experienced firsthand, these items are currently on backorder. I am tracking this closely and will install these the moment that they arrive.
6. There will be no new guest suite rentals. All rentals this month and next are canceled. We will re-evaluate as needed. If you have a guest suite reservation in March or April, you will be credited with the amount paid back onto your account. Please reach out to me directly if you should have any questions. I will be getting in contact with all guest suite rentals directly over the next few days.
7. The Open meeting this month is canceled. If an Open meeting is needed next month, I will be working with our IT department from Action to create a virtual meeting that allows homeowners to call in or video conference in.
8. I have halted all non-essential work on site. This includes window cleaning, aesthetic repairs, and the like. This limits the amount of non-CTP personnel from coming onsite. All emergency and safety-related repairs and replacements will continue.
I have been in constant contact with the other high rise managers in San Diego. We are all sharing our responses to this pandemic and how to best protect our associations. The common theme amongst every building and manager is to shut down common area amenities and to limit all possible exposure onsite.
I understand that the COVID-19 pandemic is an experience, unlike anything we have all gone through. If I may offer this- It is not whether hard times will come, because times of trouble are guaranteed in life. But rather, it is how we rise to the occasion as a community. Please do your utmost to protect yourself and your neighbors. Carry sanitizing wipes with you when entering and exiting locations. Wash your hands at every opportunity. Use hand sanitizer when you cannot wash your hands.
Please reach out to me via email or phone if you should have any questions.
Thank you all. Stay safe and wash your hands!
Respectfully,
Tyler Boelts
