Happy Friday Everyone!
KITCHEN STACK WASTE JETTING – WEST BUILDING
You might ask, what is a kitchen stack cleaning? Kitchen stack cleaning involves high-pressure flushing of the cast iron waste pipes running through each unit’s kitchen. The kitchen is the area that takes the heaviest toll due to all the cooking debris.
It is recommended that high-rise buildings and condominiums clean the kitchen stacks once every other year as routine maintenance. By performing this type of maintenance ahead of time, the association saves itself tremendous amounts of money in the long run by preventing backups. This year, Pro-Tec Plumbing will be cleaning out the kitchen stacks for the association.
Work will begin on Monday May 13th – Thursday May 16th. The plumbers will need to access every single unit to monitor your kitchen sink to ensure there is not a backup. Every three floors, a kitchen stack cleanout has been placed in the kitchen. The following floors have kitchen stack cleanout access:
15
12
7
2
Every unit on these floors has either a small access hatch or a cleanout. To help us be as efficient as possible with the cleanout process, please remove any objects that may be in the way so that the plumbing crew has easy access to the cleanout. The crew will work on one stack per day. The schedule is posted below:
Monday May 13th: A & F stack
Tuesday May 14th: B, C & G stack
Wednesday May 15th: D & H stack
Thursday May 16th: E stack
We want to ensure that the association maintains the investment in the cast iron pipes, but also to keep everyone healthy and safe. We greatly appreciate all of your assistance and cooperation in this matter.
Please email Management to let me know if you will be home or if we may use they key on file.
EMERGENCY CONTACT LIST
Residents with mobility issues, whether permanent or temporary, should send an email to Management (mcasillas@actionlife.com) for notification. This information will be placed on the Assisted Rescue List located in the Fire Control Room for the Fire Department in the event of an emergency.
If you are unsure your name is listed, please ask Management.
EMERGENCY KEY
Do you have emergency key on-file with Management? It is very important to have an emergency key on file with the building. During an emergency situation, Management may be required to gain access to your unit. In the unlikely event that a key is not on file, your door may sustain damage from forced entry. Please note that this is an Owner expense and can be very costly. Emergency keys are not used for the purpose of letting guests or personal workers in. Owners must make separate arrangements for these situations including calling a locksmith.
